Exciting news!!

Tonya is to be joined by photographer Roger at La Combe en Périgord in the Dordogne, SW France – Tuesday 28th August – Tuesday 4th September, 2012

This year at La Combe for my cooking week, it is going to be very special!  We are to be joined by Roger Stowell, a distinguished English photographer, who has been living in France for many years with his wife Jenny.  They live in the Vendée in NW France and it was here that they started their ‘Camera Holidays’ business.  Roger has a keen interest in food and cooking and in 1985, he decided to specialise in food photography.

As well as working with the majority of high quality magazines in the UK, Roger has also illustrated many cook books with his pictures including Terence Conran’s The Gastrodrome, and Valentina Harris’ Southern Italian Cooking.  So this August, Roger will be on hand to share with you his photographic knowledge.

During and after our cooking classes, there will be opportunities for food photography as well as taking pictures in the markets, restaurants, farms, truffle hunting. So Roger will be on hand to help you with your cameras, to show you new techniques or just to answer your questions.

My friend Cathy and I attended one of Roger’s food photography courses in 2008 and I wrote about it on my blog! To read it >>>
